We want the system revived during YSR’s time to grow stronger under your leadership
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026: A farmer at a bank counter carries more than an application. He carries the cost of seeds, the worry of a season and the hope of taking an answer home. A file may wait on a desk. A field cannot wait for the rain to return.
As we look forward to the Collectorate inauguration in Karimnagar town and the September 30 public meeting in Sircilla textile town, we ask the Government to bring that waiting farmer into the development story. A new public building is a welcome gift. Clear leadership for an institution serving our villages would give that occasion a deeper meaning.
The bank employees are appealing to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar to announce a clear, lawful decision on the chairmanship and governance of our District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) before, or at, the Sircilla meeting. Please also give a definite timetable for decisions awaiting higher approval.
Remember the hands that restored hope
There was a painful period in undivided Andhra Pradesh when cooperative credit institutions faced heavy losses and weak finances. Villages needed these institutions, but many institutions themselves needed help.
The Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre and the State Government led by the late Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy were in office during an important phase of revival. Based on the Vaidyanathan Committee’s recommendations, the Union Government approved a revival package in 2006. Financial help was linked to reforms intended to strengthen democratic and responsible management.
The Andhra Pradesh Government’s 2007–08 Budget speech recorded action on accumulated cooperative losses and the Vaidyanathan recommendations. It also spoke of greater freedom for societies and better access to credit for members.
We remember YSR with gratitude because those decisions restored hope. What looked like a fading institution could again become a source of help for a village.
Protect what many hands rebuilt
They helped a struggling cooperative system breathe again.
That new life grew through shared effort. Farmers repaid loans. Employees worked on recovery and service. Cooperative boards, societies, governments and NABARD helped rebuild confidence. The strength earned through those years deserves careful protection today.
Revival needs more than money. It needs people who can take decisions, officers who understand their powers and leaders who accept responsibility. Where a board is absent or authority is unclear, the uncertainty must be settled quickly.
Routine banking may continue under powers already given to officers. But proposals needing higher approval must also have a clear path. Our appeal is to identify and remove avoidable delays, while keeping every safeguard for depositors and borrowers.
Every delay has a human face
Think of a farmer who needs finance before sowing. Think of a parent seeking an eligible education loan before a fee deadline, or a women’s group waiting to start a small business. For each family, the answer has a date attached to it.
Even good help can lose its value when it comes too late.
Every application must be checked. No one asks the bank to lend without care. But an applicant deserves a decision, a reason and a clear next step. Repeated visits without an answer can turn trust into worry, and worry into anger.
The officer at the counter may face that anger while waiting for approval beyond his or her powers. Staff should have written clarity about what they can decide. Members should be told where their proposals stand. Responsibility should never disappear between one office and another.
Sridharanna and Prabhakaranna, we trust you
You know the people of our district. You know how farming, small businesses and access to credit support family life. We gratefully acknowledge the support you have extended to our bank and cooperative societies. We now ask you to carry that support forward.
Please place our concerns before the Chief Minister and help resolve the questions holding up clear decisions. The bank’s strength belongs to years of shared work. Your intervention can help protect it.

Our deepest fear is painful to express: could an institution helped back to life under Congress governments be weakened again by delay during another Congress government? Please do not let that fear become our experience.
The hands that once helped cooperation breathe must help protect its future. A crop loan can shape a season. A sound business loan can support a livelihood. A safe deposit may hold years of a family’s savings. When you protect these institutions, you protect the care and effort behind that money.
Protecting cooperation means protecting the trust of our villages.
Let Sircilla hear a decision it can believe in
Please use the September 30 occasion to announce a clear, lawful decision on our District Cooperative Central Bank’s chairmanship and governance. State who will carry the responsibility, under what authority and from when. The decision must respect the law and any court orders in force. If a legal or procedural issue remains, explain the next steps and set a definite timetable.
Please review proposals awaiting higher approval, give officers written guidance on their powers and set reasonable time limits for decisions. Tell applicants the outcome. Leadership should bring responsible service, with strong democratic governance as the lasting goal.
The announcement should lead to action that people can see. A farmer returning to the bank should find clearer answers. An officer should know how to move a proposal forward. A society should know whom to approach for a decision.
Let hope travel home from the meeting
When the meeting ends, people will return to their villages. Let them carry home the confidence that their cooperative bank has a clear way forward. Let September 30 be remembered for an answer that reached families waiting beyond the meeting ground.
