TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026: In view of the expected increase in the pilgrim rush during the Peratasi month and the ensuing holidays, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to cancel VIP Break Darshan (except for protocol VIPs) on Thursday, October 1, and Monday, October 5.
At present, around 80,000 devotees are having darshan of Lord Venkateswara every day.
In addition, nearly 30,000 devotees arriving on the same day are being accommodated for darshan on the following day.
This has resulted in longer waiting times for common devotees.
To facilitate quicker darshan for a larger number of common devotees, TTD has taken the decision to cancel VIP Break Darshan on the above dates.
Consequently, recommendation letters for Break Darshan will not be accepted on the preceding days, that is, on Wednesday, September 30, and on Sunday, October 4.
The devotees are requested to take note of the decision by TTD taken in view of the heavy pilgrim rush and extend their cooperation.
