JAGTIAL, SEPTEMBER 24, 2026: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Foundation Day celebrations were held grandly under the aegis of the NSS Unit at Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Jagtial, on Thursday.
The programme was presided over by the In-charge Principal of the college, Prof. T. Pramod Kumar. Addressing the gathering, Prof in Hindi, Vasala Varaprasad stated that NSS plays a vital role in fostering a spirit of service, social responsibility, and discipline among students. He emphasised that education attains its true significance when students cultivate a spirit of service and actively contribute to the development of society.
The Vice-Principal, G. Chandraiah, encouraged students to participate actively in social service along with their academic pursuits. Cultural performances by students added colour to the celebrations and entertained the audience.
NSS Programme Officers N. Sangeetha Rani, G. Srilatha, D. Sujatha, G. Neeraja, Sunitha, NSS volunteers, and students participated in the programme.
