Hindi Offers Wide Employment Opportunities in the Digital Era: Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna
JAGTIAL, SEPTEMBER 21, 2026: Hindi offers wide-ranging employment opportunities in the digital era. Students should develop technical knowledge and communication skills along with proficiency in the Hindi language, said Prof. K. Ramakrishna, Principal, Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Jagtial.
As part of the Hindi Day Weekly Celebrations, the Department of Hindi of the college organised a one-day seminar on “Hindi for the Digital Era and New Employment Opportunities” on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal said that Hindi should not be viewed merely as a language for the study of literature. Students should develop Hindi as a useful skill for various fields such as digital content creation, translation, media, online education, social media, tourism, public relations and language technology.
He said that the combination of “Hindi + Technical Knowledge + Communication Skills” could open up numerous employment opportunities for students in the future. He also congratulated Dr. Vasala Varaprasad, Head of the Department of Hindi, for organising such an important and relevant programme at the college.
The Chief Guest, E. Rajkumar, Assistant Professor of Hindi, Government Degree College, Korutla, delivered the keynote lecture. He highlighted the emerging opportunities for Hindi in areas such as the expansion of digital media, Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine translation, digital content and online communication, and called upon students to make effective use of these opportunities.
Following the programme, certificates were distributed to the students, and the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were felicitated.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna. A. Rajeshwar, Retired Assistant Professor of Hindi and Guest of Honour, Prof. T. Pramod Kumar, N. Sangeetha Rani, and other faculty members expressed their views on the occasion.
Vice-Principal G. Chandraiah, faculty members N. Vasavi, G. Ramachandram, S. Mallikarjun, G. Neeraja and V. Jamuna, along with teaching and non-teaching staff and students from various departments, attended the programme.
