KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026: Ande Bunga Thirupathi, Lecturer in the Department of Botany, SRR Government Arts & Science College (Autonomous), Karimnagar, was felicitated for successfully completing a 100-kilometre running challenge in just 15 days as part of the Independence Day 30 Days Challenge organised by AJ Pedals.
College Principal Prof. Kalvakunta Ramakrishna felicitated Thirupathi and appreciated his achievement. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal said that completing 100 kilometres in 15 days while efficiently balancing professional responsibilities with physical fitness was highly commendable. He stated that such achievements by faculty members inspire students to adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
TGCGTA General Secretary Kadaru Surender Reddy congratulated Thirupathi and said that his achievement demonstrated the importance of discipline, determination and consistent practice in achieving one’s goals. He encouraged faculty members and students to give importance to regular exercise and running for maintaining good health and physical fitness.
Botany Head and Controller of Examinations Prof. Tirukovela Srinivas appreciated the achievement and stated that completing the 100-kilometre challenge within 15 days, along with professional responsibilities, reflected strong commitment, discipline and perseverance. He said that the achievement would serve as an inspiration to students and fellow faculty members.
On the occasion, Thirupathi was also presented with a special Independence Day medal in recognition of his achievement.
Faculty members Radhakrishna, Md Teher Hussain, Padala Thirupathi, K. Kalajyothi, Shyamala Chandra, Md Thajuddin, Swaroopa Rani, Mahesh, Sudhakar and other faculty members participated in the felicitation programme and congratulated Thirupathi on his achievement.
The faculty and students appreciated his accomplishment as an inspiring example of balancing professional commitment, physical fitness, discipline and perseverance, conveying the message that “A healthy body leads to a healthy mind and a better future.”
