WARANGAL, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026: TGNPDCL Chief Engineer Gande Mallikarjun has said that solar power is key to meeting future electricity demand and improving power availability during the peak hours.
Speaking at the Engineers’ Day celebrations organised by the Vasavi Clubs Warangal on Tuesday, Mr Mallikarjun highlighted the benefits of rooftop solar, government subsidies and the need for efficient use of renewable energy. He urged households to adopt solar power and said TGNPDCL is taking initiatives in this direction under the leadership of CMD Varun Reddy.
“Engineering is not just a profession; it is a mindset,” he said. Three Divisional Electrical Engineers— Chinta Mahesh, Chandragi Prashanth and Paladugula Chandramouli—were felicitated on the occasion.
Vasavi Club secretary Bodla Mohan, treasurer Sandru Srikanth, Vasavi Club international Navanirma coach director Dr Prithvi Raju Pallala, members Thota Narsaiah Lingam, Gummadvelli Satyanarayana, Suresh Kumar, Gade Vasudevi, Prof Venkatanarayana and others were also present.
