KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09, 2026: The newly constructed “University Gymnasium” at Satavahana University was formally inaugurated by Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam, along with Vice Chancellor Prof U Umesh Kumar and others, on Wednesday.
Presiding over the inauguration ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof. U. Umesh Kumar stated that physical health and mental well-being form the foundation of a student’s holistic development; good thoughts and aspirations take shape within a healthy body. He affirmed the university’s constant commitment to providing excellent facilities across all domains and urged students to make the most of the new gymnasium to improve their physical fitness.
The Commissioner of Police said, “The initiative aims to promote health and fitness among the students. Such facilities will help the sportspersons at the university in a big way, he added and informed the students to utilise the gymnasium for fitness.
University Registrar Prof. P. Satish Kumar, VC OSD Harikanth, Controller of Examinations Suresh Kumar, Academic Director Prof. Surepalli Sujatha, Science College Principal Ramakanth, Arts College Principal Padmavathi, Pharmacy College Principal Srisailam, faculty members Sarasija, Humera Tasleem, Munawar, Assistant Registrar Y Kishore, along with various heads of departments, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students, participated enthusiastically in the event.
