TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 08, 2026: The annual Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam (sacred temple cleansing fete) was performed at Sri Venkateswara Temple on Tuesday in view of Srivari Brahmotsavams from September 15–23.
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, priests, and officials participated in the ritual, which is traditionally held on the Tuesday before major festivals.
The Additional EO said the traditional purificatory ritual covered the entire temple complex—from Ananda Nilayam to Bangaru Vakili—including shrines, courtyards, walls, rooftops, and worship materials.
From 6 am to 10 am, priests performed the ceremony as per Agama shastras, covering the main deity with a cloth. Afterwards, a sacred mixture, Parimalam, was sprinkled throughout the temple.

Special pujas and naivedyam followed before devotees were allowed for darshan.
TTD confirmed all Brahmotsavam arrangements are complete. Astadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva were suspended on September 8 due to the ritual.
Several Board members, CVSO Muralikrishna, Deputy EO Bhaskar, and other officials were present.
