RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 05, 2026: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with immense joy and enthusiasm at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College (TGSWRDC) for Women, located at Shatrajupalli, Vemulawada, on Saturday.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and former President of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the college organised a “Self-Governing Day” where students stepped into the roles of their beloved educators. Throughout the day, students from the Vemulawada campus actively took over the responsibilities of the college.
Acting as student-teachers, they managed classrooms, delivered lectures, and experienced the dedication required in the teaching profession. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, PSR Sharma, praised the students for their excellent management and teaching skills. He highlighted that teachers are the true builders of society and encouraged students to carry forward the values taught by their gurus.
Vice Principal K. Lavanya addressed the gathering, appreciating the students’ enthusiasm and emphasising the vital role of discipline and mutual respect in education. The event featured vibrant cultural programs organised under the guidance of Cultural Coordinators S. Sandyarani and K. Sujitha. Students performed energetic dances and sang songs. Prizes were given to the student Teachers. The celebration concluded with a felicitation ceremony honouring the principal and teaching staff for their selfless service to the institution.
