KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04, 2026: A big relief to the road users on the Karimnagar and Choppadandi stretch as the Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar authorities have laid a BT road at the ROB at Teegalaguttapalli in Karimnagar town, following the instructions of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
As the ROB is likely to be completed in the year 2028, following protests from the road users between Karimnagar and Choppadandi, the Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar instructed Karimnagar Mayor Kolagani Srinivas to solve the bumpy road issue on the stretch laying BT road is being laid to ensure smooth movement of vehicles.

Accordingly, Municipal Commissioner Kolagani Srinivas has allocated Rs 28 lakh from municipal general funds and laid the BT road on a war footing on Thursday night and completed by Friday morning. The laying of the BT has bought much such after relief to the road users on the Karimnagar and Choppadandi stretch. It may be recalled that Mr Bandi Sanjay Kumar has taken initiatives for the ROB works by allocating Rs 156 crore from the Central government.
