KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04, 2026: St George International (CBSE) School in Karimnagar town on Friday presented the Best Teachers Awards on the eve of Teachers’ Day celebrations to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which will be celebrated as Teachers’ Day on Saturday.
The International School presented the awards and felicitated Vasala Varaprasad, Professor of Hindi, N. Sangeetha Rani, Assistant Professor of Zoology and K. Ramachandram, Asst. Professor of Physics from Govt. Degree College for Women (A) in Jagtial in recognition of their dedicated services and contribution to the field of education for the year 2026-27. The awards and honours were presented by P Fatima Reddy, Chairman of St. George International School and Paradise Educational Institutions, Senior Gyneacologist and Fertility expert Dr Anamalla Sridevi, SRR Govt college principal Prof. K. Rama Krishna, Retired government degree college principal Burra Madhusudan Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. K. Rama Krishna and the dignitaries highlighted the significant role of teachers in shaping the lives and future of students. They stated that teachers not only impart knowledge but also play a vital role in developing discipline, values, creativity, confidence and a sense of social responsibility among students. Recognising and honouring outstanding teachers serves as an encouragement for educators to continue their dedicated service to society.
Faculty members of the Government Degree College for Women in Karimnagar town, B Rajani Devi, M Kalpana and Sateesh Kumar, Aduvala Sujatha and other teachers from various junior colleges and teachers from the schools.
The awardees expressed their gratitude to the organisers for recognising and honouring the services of teachers. On this occasion, GDC for Women Jagtial In-charge Principal Prof. T. Pramod Kumar, Vice-Principal  G. Chandraiah, and faculty members N. Vasavi, Sujatha, Srilatha, S. Mallikarjun, G. Neeraja and V. Jamuna, along with faculty members from various departments, congratulated the awardees.
