HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 03, 2026: Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) – Drugs Wing raided a medical shop at Gadwal, which was operating illegally without a drug licence. Drugs worth Rs. 50,000/-, stocked for sale at the unlicensed premises, were seized during the raid.
Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) – Drugs Wing officials, acting on credible information regarding the illegal sale of medicines, conducted a raid at Sana Medical and General Stores, located at  Gadwal, Jogulamba Gadwal District, on 2nd September, 2026. Shaik Mohammad Khaja Gousuddin was running a medical shop at the said premises illegally, without a valid drug licence.
During the raid, officers detected the unauthorised stocking of a large quantity of medicines for sale. A total of 50 varieties of medicines, including habit-forming drugs, antibiotics, steroids, analgesics, and other drugs, were found stocked for sale at the premises. The stock, worth Rs. 50,000/-, was seized by the officers during the raid.
Sri S. Vinay, Drugs Inspector, Gadwal and Sri S. Vishwanth Reddy, Drugs Inspector, Nagarkurnool, conducted the raid under the supervision of Smt. D. Saritha, Assistant Director, Mahbubnagar. DCA officers lifted the samples for analysis. Further investigation shall be carried out and action shall be taken as per the law against all the offenders.
