JAGTIAL, SEPTEMBER 03, 2026: Â Mandal Parishad Primary School in Gollakota of Velgatoor mandal in Jagtial district celebrated with traditional fervour and enthusiasm on Thursday.
Tiny tots arrived in their best attire, and some others dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopikas and captivated the audience with their dancing performances.
Dance, drama enactments on the life of Krishna, devotional singing and ‘Dahi Handi’ were part of the Janmashtami celebrations. Captivating, colourful performances by the students of primary classes attired in traditional costumes stole the hearts of the audience. The students depicted the birth of Lord Krishna, conveying a message of the victory of good over evil. Students truly communicated the messages that are synonymous with Lord Krishna’s life.
The different classes made presentations depicting the varied images of his life from birth to youth, transporting the audience to a world of splendour, colour, myth and legend.
Headmaster Ch Raji Reddy highlighted the importance of the Janmashtami festival. Teachers S Ramadevi, R Malathi, V Prashant, K Krishna Reddy, N Srilatha, Sirisha and others were also present.
