WARNGAL, AUGUST 31, 2026: In line with the vision of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Kakatiya University has taken another key step towards providing international-level higher education opportunities to its students. Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof K. Pratap Reddy and Principal Secretary, Education Department, Government of Telangana, Yogita Rana signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) online with Reutlingen University, Germany, as part of their visit to Germany.
In the presence of Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof K. Pratap Reddy, Registrar Prof V. Ramachandram and Program Director/Vice Dean – Industrial Engineering, International Project Engineering, Knowledge Foundation, Reutlingen University Professor Brune Jochen, as well as Program Manager – International Programs, Knowledge Foundation, Reutlingen University Deglemann, they exchanged MoUs on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor (VC) of Kakatiya University Prof Pratap Reddy said that as part of the agreement, Kakatiya University students will have the opportunity to continue their higher education in Germany through a 3+2 Master’s course. In this, the first three years of education can be completed at Kakatiya University, and the next two years of Master’s education can be pursued at Reutlingen University in Germany. Students who complete the first three years of education will be awarded a Kakatiya University degree, and then a Master’s degree from Reutlingen University. Students from the departments of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) Engineering will be allowed to continue their education in Master’s courses such as Master of Professional Software Engineering at Reutlingen University, and students from other departments will be allowed to continue their education in Master’s courses such as Master of Digital Business Management, he added. Through this program, 20 students from Kakatiya University will be selected on merit-cum-reservation basis, with partial support from the university. The agreement will greatly help the selected students to pursue higher education at an international level, as well as to access higher education and future employment opportunities in Germany.
An exchange of MoUs was held at Osmania University, Hyderabad on Monday. The event was held in the presence of Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof Kumar. Professors Brune Jochen and Stefan Deglemann from Reutlingen University, Germany participated in the event online. Kakatiya University OSD Prof Venkatram Reddy, RUSA Nodal Officer Prof Mallikarjun Reddy and others were present.
