RAMAGUNDAM, AUGUST 30, 2026: The Environmental Management Group (EMG) Department, NTPC Ramagundam, organised a Waste Segregation Awareness Programme for Township waste collection workers, emphasising proper segregation, safe handling and scientific disposal of waste on Sunday. The workers were sensitised on the importance of maintaining segregation throughout collection and transportation and ensuring proper channelisation of recyclable waste.
Subsequently, the EMG Department, in coordination with DRCC, Gowthami Nagar, organised a “Waste to Value – Earn from Waste” programme for Township residents. Residents were encouraged to bring their segregated recyclable/dry waste, including paper and cardboard, plastic, iron and metal, and glass, for collection and recycling.
The initiative aimed to promote source segregation, recycling and responsible waste management, while creating awareness among residents about the economic value of recyclable waste. The programme witnessed active participation from Township residents and reaffirmed NTPC Ramagundam’s commitment towards a cleaner, greener and waste-free township.
