KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 29, 2026: Manair Educational Institutions celebrated National Sports Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand in Karimnagar town on Saturday.
The celebrations began with the lighting of a lamp and paying floral tributes to the portrait of Dhyan Chand by Manair Educational Institutions Chairman K Anantha Reddy. Students and teachers showcased their talent in Kabaddi competitions, along with thrilling volleyball and other games.
On this occasion, Mr Anantha Reddy addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to embrace sports as an essential part of their daily routine. He emphasised that sports play a vital role in building confidence, resilience, leadership qualities and a positive mindset from an early age. His motivating words inspired students to strive for excellence both on and off the field. Principals J Saritha Reddy and Raju Chacko, PETs S Mahender, Tirupati, Swamy, Akhilashah, Sai, Anwar, teachers and others participated in the programme.
