KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 29, 2026: Alphores e-techno school, Kothapalli, in Karimnagar town, celebrated National Sports Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand, on Saturday.
The day served as a reminder of the value of sports in building discipline, teamwork, and resilience among students. Through various engaging activities and discussions, students were encouraged to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and stay inspired by the true essence of fitness, dedication, and perseverance.
Alphores Educational Institutions chairman V Narender Reddy launched the celebrations by paying floral tributes to the Hockey legend Dhyan Chand. On this occasion, Mr Reddy emphasised the need to develop a healthy lifestyle and mentioned that sports and fitness are a prerequisite to a content life. He also reminisced about the valuable contribution of Hockey legend Dhyan Chand to Indian sports.
The school organised a variety of fun and engaging games for students based on the theme “Ek Ghanta Khel ke Maidan Mein”. The playground was filled with energy as children actively participated in different activities, showcasing their zeal for fitness and sportsmanship. The Physical Education Teachers (PET) were also felicitated and presented with mementoes on the occasion.
