TIRUMALA, AUGUST 23, 2026: The annual Pavitrotsavams commenced on a grand religious note in Tirumala on Sunday.
As part of the three-day fete, on the first day, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi.
In the Kalyanotsava Mandapam, the Utsava deities were offered celestial baths with sacred and aromatic ingredients amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns by the Veda Pundits in a befitting manner.
On the first day, Pavitra Pratista is carried out by the priests as per Vaikhanasa Agama.
Both the Tirumala Pontiffs, TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravi Chandra, Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD Board member Sri Nannapaneni Sada siva rao, Temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham, and other staff and devotees were also present.
