TIRUMALA, AUGUST 16, 2026: TTD has received information that a person was found smoking on the Alipiri walking path in violation of its rules.
A complaint will be filed with the police against the individual, and appropriate legal action will be pursued.
As per TTD regulations, consumption of alcohol, smoking, and use of intoxicating substances, including gutka, are strictly prohibited within Tirumala, Alipiri, Srivari Mettu and other areas under TTD jurisdiction.
Despite these rules, the individual’s act of smoking on the walking path is disrespectful and affects the sentiments of devotees.
TTD has reiterated that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate its regulations.
Further, if any security personnel are found negligent in carrying out inspections, they will be subject to disciplinary action.
