KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 13, 2026: An awareness programme on cyber security was organised for students at Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Karimnagar. The programme focused on creating awareness among students about staying vigilant against cybercrimes and protecting personal information and online accounts.
Students actively participated in the programme and conveyed important messages on cyber security through poster presentations and a skit. Through their presentations, they highlighted the importance of using strong passwords, avoiding suspicious links, never sharing OTPs or personal details with others, and using social media cautiously.
Sub-Inspector Anusha and SPARC Coordinator D. Srinivas participated in the programme and sensitised the students about various cybercrimes. They advised everyone to remain vigilant to avoid falling victim to cyber fraud and to inform the concerned authorities immediately in case of any suspicious activity.
College faculty members J. Anitha, Swaroopa, Alekhya, G. Rajasekhar, M. Harikrishna, J. Kishore, and other lecturers and students participated in the programme. The organisers stated that such programmes are highly useful in enhancing awareness among students about cyber security.
The programme concluded successfully with the message: “Cyber Security is Everyone’s Responsibility – Vigilance is the Best Protection Against Online Fraud.”
