KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 12, 2026: The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Nagunur, in Karimnagar celebrated International Youth Day on its campus under the theme ‘Different Contexts, Common Aspirations’ on Wednesday (August 12).
Mirroring this year’s global theme of youth-led community development, the college NSS Units organised a massive campus cleanliness and sensitisation drive. The programme was spearheaded by Principal T. Malathi, who emphasised the vital role of youth in nation-building and environmental stewardship.
Vice Principal S. Padmaja motivated the students to channelise their energy into positive civic actions, while Superintendent T. Suresh Kumar highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean and hygienic learning environment. Under the active guidance of NSS Programme Officers K. Geetharani and V. Ambica, along with NSS advisory committee members P. Pravitha and T. Jahnavi, volunteers from NSS Unit 1 and Unit 2 participated in the event. The students, administration, and staff worked together to clean the entire college campus, actively cutting overgrown grass and weeds, and segregating waste to promote a safer and sustainable environment.
