GODAVARIKHANI, AUGUST 11, 2026: In a vital initiative to prioritise student safety and well-being from a young age, Peddapalli SHE team police have conducted a comprehensive awareness session on ‘Good Touch and Bad Touch’ for the girl students of Zilla Parishad High School in Ashoknagar of Godavarikhani coal belt on Tuesday.
The session was led by the SHE team in-charge SI Lavanya, who conducted an interactive session on “Good Touch and Bad Touch”, to help the girl students understand the importance of body safety and personal boundaries. Using age-appropriate stories, visuals and simple yet powerful messages, children were sensitised to recognise different types of touch, trust their feelings, and speak up when something doesn’t feel right. They also learned about identifying their ‘safe circle’ – trusted adults they can confide in. This empowering session was a thoughtful step towards helping children grow up safe, confident and self-aware, reinforcing the message that every child has the right to feel safe and protected.

The SHE team Sub-Inspector also empowered the students about the judicious usage of social media, the POCSO Act, cybercrime, drug abuse and being cautious about unknown persons. She informed the students to dial SHE team 6303923700 or dial 100 or 112 and dial 1930 for cybercrime for any assistance during a crisis. Headmaster Mallesh, SHE team members Suresh, Mounika, Snehalatha and others were also present.
