TIRUPATI, AUGUST 07, 2026: The auspicious Aadi Krithika festival was celebrated with great religious fervour at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, Tirupati, on Friday. The temple witnessed a large turnout of devotees on the occasion.
Special Snapana Tirumanjanam Performed
In the morning, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the processional deities of Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swamy along with Sri Valli and Sri Devasena.
The deities were ceremonially anointed with milk, curd, honey, sandalwood paste and other fragrant substances. Later, Abhishekam was performed to the presiding deity.
Tiruveedhi Utsavam in the Evening
In the evening, Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swamy along with Sri Valli and Sri Devasena will be taken in a Tiruveedhi Utsavam through the temple streets to bless devotees. A large number of devotees gathered to witness the divine procession.
Temple Deputy EO Smt. Nagaratna, Superintendent Sri Chandrasekhar, temple priests, officials, staff and a large number of devotees participated in the celebrations.
