KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 03, 2026: An awareness programme under the Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign was organised at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (autonomous) in Karimnagar on Monday.
The programme was conducted jointly by the college’s NCC and NSS units to sensitise youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and motivate them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Chief Guests S Upender, Deputy Superintendent of Police, EAGLE Force RNCC, Karimnagar, B.Ramesh, Circle Inspector, LMD, Sri Md Rafiq Khan, Inspector of Police, Anti-Narcotics Cell, Karimnagar, Bharathi, Sub Inspector of Excise, Thimmapur, Syed Anwar, SI LMD, G Ramesh, Sub Inspector, RNCC Karimnagar urged students to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy, disciplined lifestyle.
JITS chairman J Sagar Rao and Secretary J Sumith Sai emphasised that the youth were the future of the nation, and therefore, they must stay away from substance abuse and move forward in a positive direction in life. He further stated that staying away from drugs was not only a personal responsibility but also a social duty. He urged students to become aware themselves and actively contribute to making their families, friends, and society drug-free.
Dean Academics & Audit Dr. P. K. Vaishali and Principal Dr. T. Anil Kumar advised students to follow the message, “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life.” They encouraged the students to adopt a disciplined lifestyle, healthy habits and a positive mindset. They remarked that the programme was not only informative for the students but would also help in effectively spreading the message of a drug-free society.
Regional Narcotics Control Cell Karimnagar staff, Excise staff, LMD PS staff, NSS Programme Officer Dr.P.Pranitha, faculty members, staff and students participated in the programme.
