JAGTIAL, JULY 31, 2026: The Women Empowerment Cell of Government Degree College for Women in Jagtial in coordination with the Sakhi one-stop centre, conducted an Awareness Programme on Anti-Human Trafficking to enlighten and educate students on safety measures, available legal and rescue mechanisms, and the importance of women’s empowerment in society on Friday.
Ch. Soujanya (Constable, AHTU) delivered an informative session on anti-human trafficking protocols, prevention, and vigilance. Lavanya (In-charge, Sakhi Centre) explained the rescue facilities, support systems, and emergency services provided by the Sakhi Wing. Kondanna and Swapna (Counsellor, BBBP) spoke extensively on women empowerment initiatives and counselling resources available for young women.
T Pramod (Incharge Principal) presided over the event, emphasising the need for student awareness and self-reliance. G. Chandraiah (Vice Principal) shared encouraging remarks with the attendees.N. Vasavi (WEC Coordinator) coordinated the programme, ensuring active engagement and participation from the students and faculty.
The interactive session concluded with students gaining valuable knowledge regarding emergency helpline numbers and support frameworks established for their safety and welfare.
