KARIMNAGAR, JULY 26, 2026: The management of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar, has fulfilled its promise of providing a scholarship of ₹18,000 to students admitted to the first year of the B Tech programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Jyothishmathi Educational Institutions, Sri J. Sagar Rao, said that with the vision of serving the field of education, the institution was established in 1990 with just 30 students under the guidance of the then respected Chief Minister, Sri N. Janardhan Reddy. The institution gradually developed and established an engineering college in 1997. In its very first batch, the college achieved the distinction of producing a JNTU Hyderabad Gold Medalist.
He stated that, since then, the institution has been continuously striving to provide quality education to students by appointing experienced and competent faculty members and offering proper guidance and support to help students achieve their goals. He further mentioned that in 2025, a college student secured three gold medals, while another student, Siri Chandana, received ₹12 lakh in encouragement from the Central Government for her innovative two-wheeler airbag project.
He said that the management has taken a noble initiative to provide scholarships through the college to support the future of students. He advised students, who stay away from their parents and seek a free and independent environment, not to waste their valuable time but to make the best use of their four years of education and lay a strong foundation for the next 40 years of their lives.
On behalf of the Shalini Educational Trust, scholarship cheques were distributed to B.Tech first-year students. On this occasion, Eligeti Neeraja, Gajula Badriya, Chaturvedi Siri, Desarajula Reshwanth Chary, Aare Srinidhi, Sadinethi Vasavi, Kante Devarshini, Pulipaka Prashanth, Gadicherla Varshashree, Arsam Ganesh, Mettu Sameeksha, Ragilla Manoj, Ejjigiri Vijay, Mohammed Shazoruddin, Saini Ruchitha, and Gangula Abhinayashree received scholarship cheques worth ₹18,000 each.
It was further announced that every student admitted to the college will receive a scholarship of ₹18,000 per year for four years, totalling ₹72,000 per student. The Shalini Educational Trust is providing this financial assistance to help students pursue higher education without financial difficulties and to support them with other educational and related expenses.
He expressed his hope that students would make the best use of this opportunity and achieve their higher goals. The programme was attended by the students’ parents and representatives of the college.
