HYDERABAD, JULY 26, 2026: The Greater Hyderabad Inter-School Speed Skating Championship was held today at Indira Park, Hyderabad, under the auspices of a Skating Academy. A large number of students from various government and private schools across the city participated in the competition, displaying remarkable talent and sportsmanship.
Among the participants, Master Peruka Snehith, a Class VIII student of Army Public School, Golconda, delivered an outstanding performance and won a medal, emerging as one of the winners of the championship.
Snehith has consistently excelled in skating and has previously earned several medals, certificates of merit, and accolades in various competitions, reflecting his dedication and perseverance.
He is currently undergoing professional training under Mr. Mohammed Junaid, a National Roller Hockey Player and Senior Skating Coach. This achievement stands as a testament to Snehith’s hard work and the expert guidance provided by his coach.
Master Peruka Snehith is the son of Peruka Raju, a distinguished poet, author, translator, and Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army.
His achievement has been widely appreciated by the Army Public School, Golconda fraternity, including the school management, teachers, and fellow students, as well as his coach, Mr Mohammed Junaid. His parents, Peruka Raju and Mrs Mamatha, along with his sister Vrunda, expressed immense pride and congratulated him on hisn̈ success. They wished him continued excellence and many more achievements at various levels, bringing greater honour to his school and nation.
