KARIMNAGAR, JULY 17, 2026: Bhagavathi High School in Karimnagar town conducted its Student Cabinet Elections grandly and democratically on Friday. Through these elections, student leaders were elected to the positions of Head Boy, Head Girl, Mr. Prefect, and Ms. Prefect.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Chairperson Mr. B. Ramana Rao, Director Mrs. B. Vijayalaxmi, and Academic Director Mr. Prathap C. Reddy.
Students from Grades 6 to 10, along with the school’s teachers and staff, exercised their voting rights responsibly. A special highlight of this year’s elections was that the entire polling process was conducted digitally, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and accuracy through the use of modern technology.
Students themselves actively managed the election process by taking up various responsibilities such as candidates, polling agents, presiding officers, and returning officers. This hands-on experience helped them gain practical knowledge about the electoral process, voting procedures, democratic values, leadership, and responsible citizenship.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson Mr. B. Ramana Rao stated that the right to vote is one of the most valuable rights of every citizen. He emphasised that every vote plays a vital role in electing capable leaders and that elections are the cornerstone of a strong democracy. He further noted that organising such elections in schools helps nurture democratic values, responsibility, and leadership qualities among students from an early age.
Director Mrs. B. Vijayalaxmi and Academic Director Mr. Prathap C. Reddy said that student cabinet elections play a significant role in shaping responsible citizens of the future. They encouraged students to develop leadership, discipline, a spirit of service, and social responsibility alongside academic excellence.
The election programme received appreciation from students, teachers, and parents alike. It concluded successfully as an innovative initiative that effectively promoted democratic values and leadership skills among students.
