JAGTIAL, JULY 15, 2026: The Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Jagtial, has achieved outstanding results in the recently conducted II Semester (First Year) and IV Semester (Second Year) Degree examinations for B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc. programmes.
The examination results were officially released on Wednesday by the Principal, Prof. K. Ramakrishna, after obtaining the approval of Suresh Kumar, Controller of Examinations, Satavahana University, during his visit to the college.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal stated that the college recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 71.29% in the IV Semester examinations. The programme-wise results are as follows:
– B.A. – 70.91%
– B.Com. – 70.69%
– B.Sc. Life Sciences – 75.36%
– B.Sc. Physical Sciences – 60.00%
He particularly congratulated the students and faculty of the Botany, Computer Science, Hindi, and Zoology Departments for achieving a 100% pass percentage.
The Principal further informed that the overall pass percentage in the II Semester examinations stood at 54.33%. The programme-wise results are:
– B.A. – 44.87%
– B.Com. – 59.05%
– B.Sc. Life Sciences – 53.92%
– B.Sc. Physical Sciences – 60.00%
He appreciated the students and faculty of the English, Hindi, Mathematics, Financial Accountancy, and Urdu Departments, which secured more than 90% pass percentage in their respective subjects.
The Principal remarked that these examination results are significantly better than those of other colleges affiliated with Satavahana University in the erstwhile Karimnagar District. He attributed this remarkable improvement to the academic reforms and quality standards introduced after the college attained Autonomous Status.
On this occasion, the Principal congratulated the Controllers of Examinations, Prof. T. Pramod Kumar, Prof. V. Varaprasad, and N. Sangeetha Rani, along with all the Heads of Departments and faculty members for successfully conducting the examinations and contributing to the excellent results.
He also informed that the examination results are available on the college website. Students who wish to apply for Revaluation may submit their applications in the Examination Section on or before 23rd July 2026 (Thursday).
