KARIMNAGAR, JULY 14, 2026: Erroju Venkateswarlu of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Nagunur, Karimnagar, has been selected for the prestigious ‘Ravuri Bharadwaja National Award’ in recognition of his three decades of distinguished contribution to literature. The selection committee evaluated his essays and poems on Jnanpith Award recipient Ravuri Bharadwaja and chose him for the award presented annually by the Andhra Pradesh State Viswabrahmin Seva Sangham.
He received the award at a ceremony held at the Ramamohan Library in Vijayawada in the presence of eminent poets and scholars from across the state and the country. The award was presented by Seva Sangham President Kosuri Rajasekhar, Secretary Kala Ratna Bhaviri Ravi, Chief Guest Vinnakota Ravikumar, Additional Inspector General of Stamps and Registration, Andhra Pradesh, renowned neurologist Dr Vajrala Shivakumar, Vikranth Publishers Chairman Gorthi Srinivasa Chakravarthy, and other distinguished dignitaries.
Erroju Venkateswarlu began his teaching career in 1995 as a teacher in Asifabad. He later served in various capacities at Medipalli, Rukmapur, Husnabad, Indaram, Jaipur, and Mudhole. He efficiently discharged his responsibilities as Vice Principal and later as Principal of Nirmal Degree College. For the past thirty years, he has served with dedication in Gurukul educational institutions, inspiring generations of students through his exemplary teaching. He has received the State Best Teacher Award, the Prof. Jayashankar State Best Teacher Award, and the Sahitya Sri National Award in Bhopal.
On this occasion, Principal T. Malathi congratulated Erroju Venkateswarlu and praised his outstanding literary contributions and excellence in teaching. Vice Principal S. Padmaja, ACO G.
