RAMAGUNDAM, JULY 10, 2026: NTPC Telangana Project successfully commissions Signal & Telecommunication (S&T) Interlocked Level Crossings (LCs) integrated with the existing Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) system of the Ramagundam MGR (Merry go round) rail network during the scheduled Non-Interlocking (NI) period on Friday.
The newly commissioned Level Crossings are inaugurated by Shri Chandan Kumar Samanta, Executive Director (Ramagundam & Telangana) in the presence of Shri Mukul Rai, CGM (O&M), Telangana; Shri Manish Agrawal, GM (O&M), Ramagundam; Shri Binoy Jose, GM (Project), Telangana; AGM (TS), HoHR, GS (NEAR), EED, CCD, FT, MGR, Safety, CHP, along with other Heads of Departments and Heads of Sections.
The commissioning significantly enhances the operational safety of the MGR rail network and facilitates seamless connectivity for Telangana Stage-II construction activities as well as the movement of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) traffic. The integrated S&T Interlocked Level Crossings strengthen rail traffic management, improve operational reliability, and reaffirm NTPC’s commitment to adopting advanced railway infrastructure for safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
