KARIMNAGAR, JULY 03, 2026: The 11th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Telangana state –ISACON TG 2026 is being organised at Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Karimnagar town.
The three-day state-level conference is being held jointly by the Karimnagar Society of Anaesthesiology under the guidance of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiology and PIMS. In the conference, which is being organised from July 3 to 5, 2026, on the theme of ‘Vigilance, Innovation, and Patient-Centred Evidence-based Practice’, more than 1,000 Anaesthesia specialist doctors, subject experts and 250 PG students are participating from the entire Telangana state. Talking to newsmen after releasing the brochure of the conference at IMA hall in Karimnagar town on Friday, ISCON organising committee chairman Dr Naresh Anamalla said that ISACON is the best platform for Anaesthesia specialist doctors to communicate with one another as well as share knowledge and skills as part of the Continuous Medical Education (CME) programme.
He said that in general, the role of the surgeon is considered significant in any surgery, but the fact is that the anaesthetist also plays a crucial role. The anaesthesia specialists create a favourable, pain-free atmosphere for the surgeon to carry out the surgery. He said that the surgery is impossible without anaesthesia.
Dr Naresh said the role of an anaesthesiologist is the most crucial to countering any complications that might arise before, during or after the operation. He said that, the world over, modern research is being conducted to counter such medical complications. He said that this conference is a unique platform for the researchers and young anaesthesiologists to understand the significant factors for their success in their careers as anaesthesiologists.
ISA Telangana state president Dr Praveen Devulapally said that Anaesthesia successfully caters to the surgeries not only by general surgeons, but also by a number of super specialists from neuro, onco, uro, etc. disciplines. “It is an integral part of all disciplines of medicine”, he said and added that the Anaesthesiologist acts as operation theatre physician and they are well versed in the physiology and anatomy of the patient.
The conference would be inaugurated by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor Dr K Ramesh Reddy on Saturday (July 4) afternoon at PIMS. The other guests of honour include: Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, Prathima Group of Hospitals Director Dr Boinipalli Harini, Karimnagar Government Medical College Principal Dr M Taquiddin Khan, special invitees including DMHO Dr Dhanasari Sriram, ISA national vice president Dr Radhakishan Rao, IMA Telangana state president Dr P Kishan, Editor in Chief, IJA, Dr Madhuri Kurdi, PIMS Principal Dr John Israel, ISA national GC member Dr Ramakrishna Reddy.

The conference was inaugurated by conducting day-long workshops at PIMS, CAIMS, Renee hospital and Sunrise hospitals in Karimnagar town on integrating AI into real-life research, mechanical ventilation, hermodynamic monitoring, Pocus, and USQ guided regional nerve blocks.
