NSS takes up plantation drive at GDC for women in Jagtial

JAGTIAL, JULY 02, 2026: A tree plantation programme was organised under the auspices of the NSS at the Government Women’s Degree College in Jagtial to promote environmental conservation. NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the programme and planted a variety of saplings on the college campus.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal of the college, Professor Kalvakuntla Ramakrishna, emphasised that planting trees is a vital step towards ensuring a pollution-free environment for future generations. He encouraged students to take responsibility for protecting and preserving nature.

The programme was attended by the In-charge Principal, Professor Pramod Kumar; Vice Principal, Chandrayya; Satavahana University NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Vijay; NSS Programme Officers Sangeetha Rani, Srilatha, Sujatha, Professor Varaprasad and NSS volunteers.
