Annual Jyesthabhishekam concludes on grand spiritual note at Tirumala temple

Sri Malayappa Swamy, along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, dazzles devotees in the golden kavacham

TIRUMALA, JUNE 28, 2026: The three-day annual Jyesthabhishekam of Sri Malayappa Swamy concluded with great religious fervour and grandeur at the Tirumala temple on Sunday.

On the concluding day, Sri Malayappa Swamy, flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi, blessed thousands of devotees in the resplendent Golden Kavacham (Swarna Kavacham). The processional deities will continue to adorn this sacred golden armour throughout the year until the next Jyesthabhishekam.

As part of the final day’s rituals, the Utsava deities were ceremoniously taken to the Sampangi Prakaram, where temple priests and Vedic scholars performed the Maha Shanthi Homam in accordance with Agama traditions. This was followed by the sacred Snapana Tirumanjanam to the deities. Special rituals and worship were also offered to the Golden Kavachams before they were ceremonially adorned on the deities.

In the evening, the Lord and His divine consorts, radiant in the Golden Kavacham, captivated devotees during the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva. Later, the celestial procession through the four Mada Streets offered devotees an opportunity to receive the divine blessings of the Lord.

Among those who participated in the utsavam Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Additional EO Sri C.H. Venkaiah Chowdary, Board Members Sri Sadasiva Rao, Smt. Janaki Devi and Smt. Suchitra Ella, Temple Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, temple priests, officials and a large gathering of devotees.
