VIP break darshan and Srivani same-day online booking quota cancelled on Monday (June 29) in Tirumala

Special measures to ensure early darshan for common devotees

Utmost priority accorded to devotees’ safety and convenience

TIRUMALA, JUNE 28, 2026: In view of the unprecedented influx of devotees to Tirumala, TTD has accorded the highest priority to the safety, convenience and early darshan of common devotees. The entire TTD machinery is working around the clock to effectively manage the heavy pilgrim rush, said TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary.

On Saturday night, the Additional EO inspected the queue lines at Pachikaluva Gangamma Temple Circle and reviewed the arrangements.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that even on normal days, TTD facilitates the darshan of around 85,000 to 87,000 devotees every day with the dedicated efforts of officials, employees, Vigilance personnel, Police, Annaprasadam staff, Sanitation workers and other departments working tirelessly round the clock.

However, on Saturday, Tirumala witnessed one of the largest pilgrim congregations in its history, with over 1.5 lakh devotees awaiting Srivari Darshan. In view of the unprecedented rush, all departments are functioning in close coordination, ensuring continuous dissemination of information to devotees and taking every possible measure to avoid inconvenience in the queue lines.

As a similarly heavy influx of pilgrims is expected on Sunday, TTD has implemented a special action plan to manage the situation effectively. Accordingly, all leaves of officers and employees have been cancelled, and the entire staff has been deployed in Tirumala. Additional police forces have also been stationed to strengthen crowd management and security.

To allocate more time for common devotees, the VIP Break Darshan on Monday has been cancelled. Further, the quota of 800 same-day online Srivani Darshan tickets has also been cancelled. The quotas under SSD and certain other privileged darshan categories have been reduced as required, and the time thus made available is being utilized for Sarva Darshan devotees.

Although all accommodation complexes and queue lines in Tirumala are fully occupied, TTD is ensuring uninterrupted supply of drinking water, Annaprasadam, sanitation services and all essential amenities for the convenience of pilgrims.

The Additional EO appealed to devotees to extend their wholehearted cooperation to TTD. He requested pilgrims to complete their darshan without spending unnecessary time near the Sanctum Sanctorum, keeping in mind the large number of devotees waiting behind them.

He reiterated that, with the blessings of Sri Venkateswara, all arrangements are being carried out smoothly and also providing better services and ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free darshan for common devotees remains the foremost priority of TTD.
