NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana Organises Electrical Safety Awareness Programmes in Township Schools

RAMAGUNDAM, JUNE 27, 2026:  As part of the observance of National Electrical Safety Week 2026 (26 June – 2 July), NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana organised a series of Electrical Safety Awareness Programmes across various township schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sri Chaitanya School, St. Claire School and other educational institutions on Saturday.

The programmes were conducted to sensitise schoolchildren to the importance of electrical safety and encourage the adoption of safe practices in their daily lives. Through interactive sessions, demonstrations and awareness talks, students were educated on essential safety measures such as avoiding contact with electrical appliances with wet hands, staying away from damaged electrical wires, refraining from playing near electrical installations, and promptly reporting unsafe electrical conditions to elders.

During the sessions, students were encouraged to act as “Safety Ambassadors” by spreading awareness about electrical safety among their family members, friends and neighbours. They were motivated to practice safe behaviour and inspire others to follow electrical safety norms.

Addressing the students, speakers emphasised that “Electrical Safety is not by Chance, but by Choice,” highlighting the importance of individual responsibility in preventing electrical accidents. The students enthusiastically participated in the programmes and took a pledge to follow electrical safety rules and promote a culture of safety wherever they go.

The awareness initiative received an overwhelming response from students and teachers, reaffirming NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana’s commitment towards promoting safety consciousness and building a safer community through education, awareness and public participation.
