Two-day training on ‘AI and Digital Learning’ concludes at GDC Rajendranagar

HYDERABAD, JUNE 23, 2026: The Government Degree College, Rajendranagar, rRanga Reddy district, completed a two-day training programme on ‘AI and Digital Learning’ as part of the Anna-Akka mentorship programme (an initiative of the Telangana government)

The training programme provided final-year students with comprehensive exposure to Python Programming, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analysis, Machine Learning, and Digital Learning Tools. The sessions were conducted by Ms. Ashwini Gulhane, Master Trainer from Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology, who imparted practical knowledge and hands-on training on emerging technologies and their real-world applications.

On the second day of the programme, participants received extensive hands-on training on various open-source and AI-powered platforms used for Machine Learning, data analysis, content creation, and digital learning applications. Students and faculty members actively engaged in practical exercises and explored different AI tools and platforms that can be utilised for learning, teaching, research, and innovation.

Addressing the participants, M. Himabindu, Principal, expressed her gratitude to the Government of Telangana for introducing this innovative programme aimed at empowering students with digital and technological skills. She explained that the programme enables students to first acquire knowledge in AI and digital learning and subsequently share that knowledge with school students through the Anna–Akka Mentorship initiative.

The Principal informed that from July to September 2026, final-year students will visit schools twice a week and teach AI and digital learning concepts in a friendly and supportive environment. She stated that this unique mentorship model will help students become responsible, knowledgeable, and socially committed individuals while promoting digital literacy among school children.

The programme was coordinated by the college Nodal Officers, M. Satyanarayana, S. D. Bhavani, and S. Ravinder Reddy. Faculty members and final-year students actively participated in the training programme.

During the feedback session, both students and faculty members expressed their appreciation for the two-day training programme. Participants stated that the sessions enhanced their understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and digital technologies and provided valuable practical exposure to modern AI tools. They thanked the Government of Telangana, the resource person, and the college administration for organising such a useful and future-oriented programme.
