KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 16, 2026: In the wake of continuous dry weather conditions delaying farm activities and affecting people with sweltering heatwave conditions, the priests of Panchamukha Hanumandeeshwara Swamy temple in Karimnagar town performed ‘Varuna yagam’ to appease the rain god amid chanting of Vedic hymns on Tuesday.
Under the supervision of eminent Jyothisya vasthu pandi Namilikonda Ramanachary, the priests performed the ‘Varuna yagam’ with abhishekhams to Lord Shiva and Hanuman with 108 kalashams and traditional rituals to appease the Rain God.
The temple priests Ramakrishna Charyulu, Vinay Kumar Swamy and others participated in the programme. The Hanuman deeka devotees participated in the chanting of Hanuman chalisa. Mr Ramanachary also enlightened the importance of conducting Varuna yagam to appease the Rain God and ensure abundant rainfall and cool weather for ages.
