KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 03, 2026: Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology & Science (Autonomous), Thimmapur, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, has formally inaugurated the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-II of 9 Telangana Battalion NCC from June 3 to June 12, 2026 (10 days).
The camp is being conducted under the supervision of Colonel A. K. Jayanta, Commanding Officer, and Lt Col V. Krishna, Administrative Officer. 420 NCC cadets from various districts of Telangana are participating in the camp. In addition, 180 cadets from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will participate in the Inter Group Sports Shooting Competition (IGSSC).
Chairman Sri J. Sagar Rao and Secretary & Correspondent Sri J. Sumith Sai expressed their happiness at JITS (A) being selected as the venue for this prestigious camp. They stated that such NCC activities play a vital role in developing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and patriotism among youth.
Principal Dr. T. Anil Kumar welcomed the NCC officers Lt G Jagdeeshwar, P I staff K Maheswar Reddy and cadets and assured full support from the institution for the successful conduct of the camp. The management of JITS(A) extended a warm welcome to all participants and wished the camp grand success.
