PEDDAPALLI, FEBRUARY 04, 2024: In a momentous achievement, NTPC Telangana Unit 2 successfully attained its full load capacity of 800 MW on 3rd February 2024 at 21:20 hrs.
Mr Kedar Ranjan Pandu, HOP (Ramagundam & Telangana) along with Mr Sanjib Kumar Saha GM (O&M) Telangana, Mr G B Suresh GM (Projects), Mr Santosh Tiwari GM (C&T) applauded the entire project and Commissioning team for their dedication and hard work in reaching this much-awaited goal. With this remarkable accomplishment, the whole team is energized now and is focusing on stabilisation activities and marching ahead towards Trial Operation of the unit.
The NPTC Telangana unit-1 of 800 MWs was commissioned in May 2023. This project was taken up as part of AP States Reorganisation Act, 2014. About 85 per cent power generated from this power plant would be allocated for the Telangana state.
