KARIMNAGAR, MAY 09, 2026: The Karimnagar town is growing in leaps and bounds all around the city with the proliferation of the business centres at Gunj and Tower circle area, causing umpteen woes to the people of the town.
Sometime back, the people visiting Tower and Gunj areas for shopping used to park their vehicles at the spacious near Kala Bharathi, adjacent to a place of worship. Already, the road leading from the RTC bus station to Chokka Rao traffic statue island is congested and narrow, and everyone in the town knows about it, including Traffic police.
But what made the traffic police install barricades around the structure, which was open for decades? With the closure of the area with barricades, vehicle owners visiting the area are facing problems due to the unavailability of park place.
Above all the ‘Hare and Hare Krishna’ foundation is serving food at a cost of Rs 5 per plate. This food centre and boon to labour community, auto-drivers, people visiting various and also migrant labourers.
The Traffic police illogical erection of barricades is further adding to the existing narrow and congested road. Irony on the part of MCK foer remaining as mute spectators when Traffic encroach their lands and woes to the people of the town.
The Traffic and MCK authorities should accord in the removal of foot paths and parking places. Le they go around Ambedkar stadium and the encroachment which may big issue with encroachers getting power supply as well as Hawkers rights.
