RAJANA-SIRCILL, May 05, 2926: The AEDP Courses Play Key Role in Enhancing Employability in Telangana, says GDC, Gambhiraopet Principal Prof. V.Vijaya Lakshmi, promoting BFSI AEDP course at GDC, Gambhiraopet, according to her. With a growing number of graduates entering the job market each year, the need for industry-relevant skills has become increasingly important in Telangana. The Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) courses are emerging as a crucial initiative to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
Experts observe that while many students complete higher education, they lack practical skills such as communication, interview readiness, and workplace etiquette, which often affect their employment prospects. AEDP courses are designed to address this issue by equipping students with essential soft skills and job-oriented training.
The BFSI AEDP programme offers exposure to key sectors, including banking, financial services, insurance, and information technology, thereby preparing students for entry-level roles. In addition, BFSI AEDP students get support in campus recruitment drives, resume-building sessions, and interview training, significantly improving placement opportunities.
Special emphasis is also being placed on students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds, who take up such courses and who often have limited awareness of job market dynamics. The student initiative to choose BFSI helps them gain confidence and compete effectively in the Banking, Insurance, and financial services sector.
Institutions and skill development bodies are actively implementing these programmes across the state, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce.
With a focus on practical learning and employability, AEDP courses are increasingly being seen as a vital link between education and employment, supporting both individual student career growth and the overall economic development of Telangana.
