SIDDIPET, APRIL 17, 2026: The National Cadet Corps of Siddipet Government Degree College (Autonomous) have recently excelled in various national-level special camp selections held under the auspices of the 9 Telangana NCC Battalion, Karimnagar.
The prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, is organising a Leadership and Capacity Building (Mountaineering) Camp from May 7 to 16. The NCC cadets of the college, viz., Ajmera Sridevi (first place), Badavat Anjali (second place), Estharigalla Akshaya (third place) in the girls’ category and Devammula Shiva (third place) in the boys’ category have been selected to participate.
College NCC cadets Bodasu Akhila and Gowraboiina Shwetha secured first place and fourth place, respectively, in the selections held for the prestigious girls’ trekking camp to be held in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands from May 6 to May 13.

College NCC cadets Kommarajula Sanjeev, first position and Kalakuntla Vamsi, second position, have secured the probable list for the prestigious Mount Deo Tibba (6001 meters, 19688 feet) mountaineering (expedition) camp selection, known as the land of gods (Platue) in the Kullu-Manali mountain range of Himachal Pradesh.
“They will attend the final selection to be held at Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi, from May 18 to 21. It is commendable that out of the total three who will attend from A.P. and Telangana NCC Directorates, two are from our college NCC cadets”, said the college principal, Professor G Sunitha.
The Principal congratulated the College NCC Care Taker, B Krishnaiah, for encouraging the NCC cadets on this occasion. At this event, the college Vice Principal Professor P Ayodhya Reddy, College Examination Controller Gopala Sudarshanam, IQAC Coordinator C. Madhusudhan, Academic Coordinator Pitla Das and others congratulated the NCC cadets.
