HYDERABAD, APRIL 15, 2026: Mr Suresh Battini has assumed charge as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana on Wednesday.
Mr Suresh Battini is a 1991 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer with extensive experience in handling important assignments relating to Corporate and Business Assessments, Financial Investigations, Tax Deduction at Source, and International Taxation. He has also gained administrative experience in top-level management functions such as Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Business Analysis, and Financial Investigations.
Before assuming charge as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Suresh Battini served as the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Hyderabad, from September 2024 to April 2026, during which he headed the Income Tax administration for the State of Andhra Pradesh.

With the assumption of charge as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Mr Suresh Battini will now oversee the Income Tax administration for both the Telugu States, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
