World Arts Day is celebrated on Wednesday
KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 15, 2026: The celebration of creativity took centre stage at Daram Susheela Devi Charitable Trust in Karimnagar town with the felicitation of budding artists on the occasion of World Arts Day on Wednesday.
The budding artists from Zilla Parishad High School, Avunuru in Rajanna-Sircilla district were presented with medals, mementoes and paint sets as a token of appreciation and encouragement on behalf of the charitable organisation by its chairman and senior physician, Dr D Raghu Raman. The headmaster, Dudam Manohar and teacher Ganesh were also felicitated on the occasion.
The students of ZPHS Avunuru presented a beautiful painting to Dr Raghu Raman for his relentless service to society. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Raghuraman emphasised the transformative power of art, stating that it was a powerful medium for self-expression, allowing individuals to convey their feelings, emotions and imaginations. “Art serves as a platform for expressing compassion and empathy, and meaningful social messages can be communicated through artistic works,” he added.

Incidentally, the doctor’s granddaughter Daram Sumedha had joined HEC in the intermediate instead of popular courses of MPC BiPC to become an artist. She was also a student of Global Arts School in Hyderabad.
