KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 10, 2026: A day-long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Emerging Technologies was inaugurated on Saturday at SRR Government Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Karimnagar, as part of the 99 Days Action Plan of Praja Palana, an initiative of the Government of Telangana.

The programme began with an inaugural session attended by faculty members and distinguished resource persons. Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna, in his inaugural address, emphasised the importance of staying updated with rapidly evolving technologies in the academic world. He highlighted that such FDPs play a crucial role in enhancing the teaching capabilities of faculty and preparing them to meet modern educational and industry demands.
Vice Principal P Nithin spoke about the need for continuous professional development among educators. He encouraged faculty members to actively participate in such programmes to improve their knowledge base and adapt to technological advancements in their respective fields.
Vice Principal T. Rajaiah underlined the significance of integrating emerging technologies into teaching methodologies. He noted that innovation in education is essential for shaping competent and future-ready students.
Harjoth Kaur, IQAC Coordinator, stressed the role of quality initiatives in higher education. She stated that organizing FDPs is part of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.
The programme featured expert lectures by eminent resource persons. Rajashri delivered an insightful session on Emerging Trends in Physics, while Satheesh spoke on Emerging Trends in Biotechnology, highlighting recent advancements and research opportunities in their respective domains.
Other faculty members, including M Rajesh, R Ramakrishna, B Raju, and K Sudhakar, also presented sessions on emerging trends in their respective subjects, sharing valuable knowledge and insights with the participants.
The FDP aims to equip faculty members with the latest developments in science and technology, thereby enhancing the quality of teaching and research. The programme continued with various technical sessions and interactive discussions and certificates are distributed to faculty.
