RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 09, 2026: An extension lecture programme on LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) was organised at the Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, to enhance the English language skills of students. On this occasion, B. Raju, Lecturer in the Department of English at Vagdevi Degree College, Metpally, participated as the chief speaker.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of the College Principal Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi, and was led by Yelagonda Anjaneyulu, Assistant Professor of English and Head of the Department. During his address, B. Raju explained that the four major skills—Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing—are essential for learning the English language effectively. He advised students to develop daily habits such as reading, listening, speaking, and writing to gain proficiency in English.

He also mentioned that in today’s competitive world, communication skills are very important for securing employment opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi stated that such programs are very useful for the overall personality development of students. Yelagonda Anjaneyulu also encouraged students to improve their language skills and achieve higher goals in life.
The programme was attended by the college English lecturer D. Ramya, as well as Vani, Shravan Kumar, Adi Vishnu, Manohar, Srinivas, Sucharan, Bhikshamayya, Deepika, and Jagannatham, along with teaching and non-teaching staff members and a large number of students.
