KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 09, 2026: Doctors of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Karimnagar chapter celebrated International Women’s Day with a meaningful initiative, focusing on community support by providing essential groceries to Sri Veerabrahmendra Swamy orphanage in Housing Board Colony in Karimnagar town on Sunday.
This thoughtful gesture highlights a compassionate approach to the celebrations, aiming to make a tangible difference in the lives of elderly persons in the orphanage, moving beyond traditional celebrations to directly support those in need, is really appreciated by all sections of society.
This initiative marked a shift towards community-focused Women’s Day celebrations, emphasising social responsibility. This, initiative by IMA doctors, serves as a reminder of the positive impact individuals can have on their communities during special occasions.
IMA Karimnagar chapter President Dr Akula Shailaja, general secretary Dr N Mahesh Babu, Treasurer Dr V Neelima and others participated in the programme and handed essential groceries such as rice, oil, sugar, tamarind etc. They also felicitated the Oldage home organise Veeramadhav on the occasion. The doctors also served fruits to the inmates of the orphanage.
