HANAMKONDA, MARCH 05, 2026: The Department of English at Kakatiya Government College, Hanamkonda, in collaboration with Sahridaya Literary and Cultural organization and students of Prof Laxmana Murthy organized a highly successful One Day National Symposium on the Pedagogical and Literary Contributions of Late Prof. S. Laxmana Murthy. The event, held on March 5, 2026, was a befitting tribute to the life and works of one of Telangana’s most revered educators and literary figures. It took place in the Seminar Hall of the College, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a gathering of scholars, students, and dignitaries from across the region.
The symposium was inaugurated with a warm welcome and introduction by Prof. G. Srinivas, Principal of Kakatiya Government College, Hanamkonda, who chaired the event. A. Srinath, an esteemed academician and Co-Chair of the event, highlighted the importance of recognising the contributions of Prof. S. Laxmana Murthy, whose lifelong work in the field of education and literature continues to inspire countless individuals. The Convener of the event, P. Dinakar, efficiently guided the flow of the proceedings, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees. He expressed his views that his teaching inspired innumerable teachers and Scholars across the state. He is a symbol of modesty and humbleness.

This lecture would serve as a platform to continue his legacy, with scholars and educators gathering each year to reflect on his contributions and draw inspiration from his work.
