HANAMKONDA, MARCH 01, 2026: The Department of Political Science is organising a book exhibition showcasing more than 300 globally renowned books related to various branches of political science at Kakatiy Government College, Hanamkonda, from Saturday onwards.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. G. Srinivas stated that in an era dominated by artificial intelligence and the growing influence of social media, such initiatives play an important role in encouraging students to cultivate reading habits. He appreciated the Department of Political Science for taking this meaningful initiative.
Head of the Department B. Kavitha mentioned that the exhibition features major works of Karl Marx, H. J. Laski, Granville Austin, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Rousseau, and other eminent thinkers, along with important texts such as Leviathan, Social Contract, and books by D. D. Basu and Bhargava. She added that books useful for Civil Services, Groups, and various government competitive examinations are also being made available to Political Science students.
Faculty members, including B. Kavitha, M. Ravikumar, Prof. K. Sridevi, V. Rajender, Vice Principal Rajaneelatha, Srinath, Librarian Bharath Kumar, Dinakar, Ravinder, Indiradevi, Venkataramana, Pradeep Shravan, Dinesh, Swami, Venkanna, and Ramesh, along with teachers and students from all departments, are participating in the event.
